Full-time, Permanent, Live-out Nanny in Madrid

Contract: Permanent, live-out, full-time

The Family & Children
Our client is a British family based in Madrid, seeking an experienced live-out nanny to support them with their four young sons, from newborn to early primary years. The household is busy, affectionate and energetic, and the right nanny will genuinely enjoy working with several young children at once.

One of the boys presents with additional needs and benefits from a calm, patient and emotionally aware approach; no formal SEN training is required. The family home is located in a residential area and includes a private swimming pool, so confidence around water and a strong sense of safety are essential. The family are looking for a calm, practical and proactive professional who can integrate smoothly into the household and provide consistent, reliable support.

The Role
This is a full-time, long-term, live-out position combining shared care with mum and some sole charge when needed. The nanny will work in partnership with the parents to ensure the children are safe, well cared for and engaged, while also helping to maintain order around the children’s belongings and spaces.

They value a nanny who can adapt to the natural rhythm of family life, while still bringing structure, calm and consistency to the children’s days. This role will suit a professional nanny who is confident in a busy home and comfortable taking initiative.

Key Responsibilities
Providing warm, attentive and developmentally aware care for four boys, from newborn to school age.

Managing typical nursery duties: children’s laundry, organising wardrobes, keeping bedrooms and play areas tidy, and ensuring toys and equipment are clean and in good condition.

Preparing simple, healthy meals and snacks for the children.

Planning and supervising age-appropriate activities at home and outdoors (play, crafts, park, playdates, etc.).

Assisting with preparation for family trips – organising clothing, toiletries, toys and travel essentials, and anticipating what will be needed.

Driving the children to activities, playdates and appointments as required; a car will be provided when on duty.

Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be a professional nanny who is:

Fluent in English (essential).

Ideally, a native Spanish speaker to support the children’s exposure to Spanish.

Experienced with multiple young children and confident caring for several under six at the same time.

Highly organised, proactive, with strong initiative, able to "read the room", see what is needed and follow through without constant direction.

A confident driver with a clean driving licence; a car will be provided for use during working hours.

Looking for a long-term role where they can build a trusting relationship with the family.

Dog lover
