One of our returning clients, a lovely family based in Berlin is seeking an experienced Governess with native level English language skills to take full educational responsibility for their 9-year-old son.
This role will be suited to a qualified teacher or governess who is confident in managing a child’s full curriculum and providing a high standard of structured home education.
The Governess will be responsible for the child’s full-time education, including planning, delivering, and overseeing a well-rounded academic programme aligned with the British curriculum. The role will involve teaching core subjects, track progress, and creating an engaging, motivating learning environment.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day - Flexibility required, especially when travelling with the family
Key responsibilities
• Providing full-time education to a 9-year-old boy
• Designing, managing, and delivering the complete curriculum
• Teaching core subjects
• Planning structured lessons, projects, and assessments
• Monitoring academic progress and adapting the curriculum as needed
• Creating a stimulating, supportive, and disciplined learning environment
• Organising educational outings, cultural activities, and project-based learning
• Travelling with the family when required and maintaining educational continuity
• Working closely with the parents and reporting on progress

Requirements
• Native-level English
• EU Passport
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, BEd, or equivalent)
• Proven experience as a governess, tutor, or teacher
• Strong knowledge of the British curriculum
• Organised, proactive, and creative in approach
• Professional, discreet, and adaptable
• Willing and able to travel with the family
