A nanny/Housekeeper is required in East Sheen to care for a girl aged 8 years and boy aged 12 years.
Term time hours: 12 -7
Holiday hours: 8-7
4 days per week - Monday to Thursday
A salary based on an annualised average of 35 hours per week will be paid.
A driver is essential - an automatic car for work use is provided.
Parking is available for nannies driving into work
The youngest child is currently attending school and is collected by the Nanny at approximately 3.15. The eldest child is currently home schooling but otherwise takes himself to and from school on his bike.
Between the hours of 12 - 3 during term time, you will be responsible for household duties, to include family laundry, ironing, tidying/organising, general kitchen upkeep, grocery shopping online and batch cooking etc. A cleaner is employed for the weekly deep clean. The boy will need some care regarding lunch and homework encouragement.
From the hours of 3pm - 7pm you will be responsible for the care of both children, to include after school activities when operating again, homework, music practice, play and preparation of a simple evening meal for the children.
The youngest child has sensory processing difficulties and a recent autism diagnosis, however, she is chatty, friendly and engaging with many interests. Her difficulties are associated with anxiety around change and her sensory discomforts. The son has Tourette's which manifests as some motor tics which do not stop him from being high achieving, sporty, musical, intelligent and affectionate, also with a dry sense of humour. Nannies with experience of neurodiverse children would be a bonus, but not essential. The most important traits for applicants is experience with similar aged children, adaptability, patience, kindness, someone who can take initiative and who can have fun with the children but be firm and stick to boundaries when needed.
The current Nanny of 7.5 years is moving out of the area and would be very happy to speak with any Nannies interested in the role.
