Live-in Nanny, Barnes (Sole Charge, Long-Term)

We're a busy, easy-going family of five based in Barnes, looking for a brilliant nanny to join us for the long term. We have a 5-month-old baby, a 3-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl. We're looking for someone who genuinely loves children, brings calm energy to a busy household and is happy to really get stuck in.



We're hands-on parents who both work full time, so this is a sole charge role. We do the school drop-offs in the morning, and the older two are at school from 8am to 3:30pm, so daytimes will be with the baby. Afternoons and evenings involve school pick-ups, some after-school clubs, then home for supper, bath and bed.



The role



This is a live-in position in the heart of Barnes. Hours are blended across term time and school holidays, with a fixed annual salary to reflect that flexibility. Six evenings of babysitting per month are included, one of which will be a Saturday.



Continuity really matters to us. Our last nanny was with us for over a year, and we're looking for someone ready to make a similar long-term commitment to our family.



What we're looking for



• At least one year of live-in nanny experience (essential)

• Strong references

• Organised, proactive and warm

• Calm under pressure

• Confident setting kind, consistent boundaries and helping the children develop good manners, good behaviour and healthy routines

• Happy to arrange playdates and plan fun activities to keep the children's days stimulating

• A genuine love of children and interest in their development



Day to day



School pick-ups, meals and meal planning, activities and playdates, bath and bedtime, and light housekeeping connected to the children. We have a cleaner for the common areas, so it's purely child-focused tidying.



Package



• £600 per week gross (£31,200 per year), inclusive of tax and National Insurance

• 20 days' holiday plus bank holidays

• Live-in accommodation, including food

• Travel with the family

• Payroll managed via a third-party provider
