Experienced Live-In Nanny – Bahrain & Dubai

Position: Permanent, Full-Time Live-In Nanny
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, with some flexibility required for weekend hours

About the Family
A warm and loving professional family (both parents are very busy professionals who also travel with work)who divide their time between Bahrain and Dubai are seeking a high-calibre, experienced nanny to care for and support their five-year-old son.

The young boy has ADHD and some speech and language delay. Please only apply if you have specific experience working with children with ADHD.
This is an excellent opportunity for a nurturing, proactive and knowledgeable nanny who has a genuine passion for child development and can provide thoughtful, individualised support to help a young child thrive.

The Role
The family are looking for a nanny who understands the importance of supporting a child's individual developmental needs, particularly in relation to ADHD and speech and language development, attention and concentration.

The little boy attends a mainstream international school, he also (with his elder siblings) has another nanny who will take care of the day to day nursery duties and cooking. This role is for a high calibre qualified and experienced nanny who will support his learning and development, Working alongside his speech and language therapist and school teachers, plus many sporting clubs he attends.

Key Responsibilities

Provide attentive, nurturing and developmentally focused care.
Support and encourage speech, language and communication development through everyday interactions and purposeful play.
Plan engaging, age-appropriate activities to promote learning, creativity and concentration.
Help develop positive routines, independence and emotional regulation.
Encourage focus and engagement through a patient, calm and consistent approach.
Support school preparation in the mornings and provide care and enrichment after school.
Work collaboratively with the parents to maintain consistency between home and school.
Support school-related learning and reinforce skills in a positive, encouraging way.
Adapt activities and approaches to suit his individual needs, interests and developmental stage.

The Ideal Candidate -
At least five years experience working with children.
Highly experienced, professional and confident in caring for children of a similar age.
Knowledgeable about child development and early learning.
Knowledge and experienced of working with young children who are neurodiverse.
Patient, nurturing, calm and emotionally attuned.
Proactive and creative, with the ability to engage an energetic child and encourage his concentration.
Experienced in supporting speech and language development; experience with additional developmental needs would be highly advantageous.
Confident in establishing consistent routines and positive boundaries.
Educated, reliable, discreet and trustworthy.
Excellent spoken and written English is essential, as the little boy attends a mainstream international school where English is the primary language of learning and communication.

Hours & Accommodation
This is a full-time, live-in position with an ASAP start.
The usual working pattern is part time Monday to Friday: some hours over the weekend
Morning: Approximately 07:00–09:00, assisting with the morning routine and school preparation.
Afternoon/evening: Approximately 15:30–19:30, providing after-school care, activities and support with the evening routine. Some weekend hours will be required.

There will generally be a break during school hours. However, the family would ideally like a nanny who is happy to work additional hours when travelling or some weekend hours may also be requested, so flexibility is important.

The role involves living between Bahrain and Dubai with the family, so the successful candidate must be comfortable travelling between both locations.
