Nanny-Housekeeper
Our family is looking for a full time nanny/housekeeper to start with us in January 2027.

By way of background, we live in Notting Hill and have one two year old boy (b. 8 October 2024). He attends various classes, including swimming, Messy Monkeys and Tarka, during the week. He loves reading and can communicate his needs extremely well (full sentences) for his age. He is extremely chatty, curious and engaged toddler with a gentle nature. He loves reading, diggers, his dog and seeing his friends.

Both parents work full time (mother works from home and the father in the office). Our family home is located in Notting Hill, close to local amenities and transport links. We do need someone who is comfortable with stairs and we have direct access through our back garden to a communal garden.

The role will be a mixture of sole charge and shared care, working 11am to 6pm, Monday to Friday (35 hours per week) with potential weekend work that can be guaranteed if that is what you would wish. We are very reasonable and open to discussion around these matters to make things work with the right person.

We are searching for a proactive, calm and positive nanny, with experience caring for children of a similar age and think your profile suits well. We would love our nanny to help our son continue to develop and to prepare him for school.

The role would include all the typical nursery duties, preparing healthy meals, undertaking nursery pick-ups, encouraging language development, keeping his areas clean and tidy, doing his laundry and organising age appropriate activities / playdates. Light housekeeping duties are part of the role while our son is at nursery or having a nap, but childcare will take priority at any given time. We'd love some help with potty training and getting children ready to start school is a plus. We also employ a housekeeper twice a week and have a Whippet x Italian greyhound.

Light housekeeping tasks include keeping communal spaces clean and tidy, unloading and loading the dishwasher, managing deliveries to the house, laundry and preparing meals for the family if time allows.

Holiday travel will be requested; we usually travel in August and would require assistance for the summer holiday.

We will offer the successful candidate a £170 yearly CPD budget and 28 days’ annual leave, including bank holidays.

We are very understanding and want to make the role work as much as possible for our prospective nanny as well. We will always do our level best to accommodate any requests that the nanny has as they take very seriously the role that the nanny will provide.

If you'd be keen to speak I'd love to set up a Zoom call in the first instance.

Kind regards
