A lovely family is seeking a warm, flexible and proactive Travel Nanny / Housekeeper to join them for a three-week stay in Los Angeles over the Christmas period. Mum and the grandparents will be present and actively involved in the children's care, so this is not a sole-charge position. Instead, the family is looking for an extra pair of hands to help keep everything running smoothly, support the children's daily routines and become part of the family during their stay.
The ideal candidate will be happy to muck in wherever needed, use their initiative and balance childcare with light housekeeping and cooking duties.

Duties and Responsibilities
Childcare - Provide general support with the care and supervision of three children aged 9, 6.5 and 4.
Help with the children's daily routines, activities, mealtimes and general needs.
Keep the children entertained and engaged with age-appropriate activities.
Support Mum and the grandparents with childcare throughout the day.
Take responsibility for the children during the flights to and from Los Angeles, ensuring they are safe, comfortable and well cared for.
Be flexible and adaptable to the family's plans and schedule.
Cooking and Meal Preparation
Prepare healthy, nutritious and well-balanced meals for the children.
Be a confident home cook who enjoys preparing fresh, varied meals.
Help with snacks and general food preparation throughout the day.
Keep the kitchen tidy after preparing meals.
Light Housekeeping
Keep the children's areas and shared spaces tidy and organised on a daily basis.
Manage the children's laundry, including washing, drying, folding and putting clothes away.
Help maintain a tidy and comfortable family environment.
Assist with general day-to-day household tasks as required.

The role will involve approximately 12-hour working days, with regular periods of downtime throughout the day while the children are occupied or being cared for by Mum and the grandparents. The nanny must be available seven days per week during the placement, with flexibility around the family's schedule and travel arrangements.
From 14th December to 18th December, the family will be travelling to Mexico. This period can be used by the nanny to enjoy some personal time, explore Los Angeles and have a break from the usual family routine, subject to any agreed travel arrangements.
Christmas Day: The successful candidate will have the option to take Christmas Day off as an unpaid day of leave, should they wish to do so. This can be discussed and agreed with the family in advance.
The successful candidate should be comfortable with the flexibility that comes with a travel position and understand that daily schedules may vary.

The Ideal Candidate: Experienced in caring for young children and confident supporting multiple children of different ages.
A good home cook who can prepare healthy, appealing meals for children.
Happy to combine childcare with light housekeeping and laundry.
Flexible and adaptable, with a positive approach to travelling and living alongside a family.
Comfortable sharing a room with a child and working in a live-in travel environment.
Previous travel nanny experience would be advantageous, although a positive attitude, relevant childcare experience and a willingness to help out are equally important.
