An overseas 24-hour Maternity Nurse opportunity in Germany, providing Christmas and New Year cover for a returning Eden family with their third baby, supporting established routines in a warm, collaborative family environment.

Job Summary

A lovely returning Eden family are looking for an experienced and professional Maternity Nurse to provide temporary cover over the Christmas and New Year period while their current maternity nurse returns home. The family also have, including four-year-old twin, and are seeking someone knowledgeable, dedicated and reassuring who can confidently take responsibility for the baby's care while working closely with Mum and respecting the routines already established. Although the primary focus will be the baby, the family would love someone who is warm, kind and inclusive towards the older children, ensuring they feel equally valued and involved. The family appreciate professional guidance and advice but are particularly keen to find someone who will support their choices and adapt to their preferred approach. Flexibility is important, including around break times and the baby's feeding and sleeping arrangements, as Mum would like to continue having the baby with her at times. The booking will take place at the family's accommodation in Aschau, Germany, between Munich and Strasbourg. The family will be staying with the maternal grandmother during this period, and the maternity nurse will have their own room.
Start Date: 23rd or 27th December 2026


Job Specification
• Provide experienced 24-hour maternity care for a young baby.
• Follow and maintain the family's established feeding and sleeping routines.
• Support Mum with feeding, settling and overnight care.
• Offer professional advice and reassurance while respecting parental preferences.
• Work collaboratively with the family and their existing approach to childcare.
• Be comfortable with the baby spending time with Mum, including during rest and settling periods.
• Manage all baby-related nursery duties.
• Remain flexible regarding breaks and the family's daily arrangements.
