Salary: £60,000–£80,000 gross per annum (depending on experience)

A warm family are seeking an experienced, nurturing and educationally focused Baby Nanny to care for their newborn, with a particular emphasis on early childhood development, developmental milestones and creating a stimulating learning environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is genuinely passionate about infant development and understands the importance of the early years in establishing strong foundations for learning, confidence and emotional wellbeing. The family would love to find someone who can combine attentive, loving care with a thoughtful and proactive approach to education from infancy.

You will be responsible for supporting the baby's daily routines, including feeding, sleep and general care, while introducing age-appropriate activities that encourage cognitive, physical, sensory and emotional development. As the baby grows, you will plan engaging learning experiences, incorporating sensory play, music, storytelling, creative activities and early language development, ensuring that developmental milestones are supported naturally and consistently.

The family are particularly interested in candidates with a strong understanding of early childhood education, who can confidently guide the child's development through each stage and adapt their approach as their needs evolve. A background in early years education, child development or a relevant childcare qualification would be particularly advantageous.

Mum will be at home for the first six to nine months, and the family already have additional household support, so you will need to be comfortable working collaboratively and adapting to the family's changing requirements. Over time, the role will involve greater independence, including periods of sole charge and proxy parenting when the parents travel.

The family are very flexible regarding the structure of the position and are happy to consider either live-in or live-out candidates. The start date and working hours are negotiable, and an initial part-time arrangement may also be possible before moving into a full-time role.
