About the Family:
We are looking for a fantastic nanny to join a welcoming, busy British/Iranian family who relocated from London to Dubai last year. Both parents work in finance and lead busy professional lives, so they need someone highly trusted and experienced to care for their 2-year old boy.
In London they were lucky to have a wonderful Norland nanny and they are now looking for (preferably) a British-trained nanny in Dubai who is just as special: someone who will become a trusted, long-term part of their son’s early years. If the family expands then the nanny would also become full-time, so there is lots of potential for the role to grow.
About Their Little Boy:
He is a happy, curious and chatty 2-year-old who loves:
• Books: stories, reading together and talking about pictures
• Music: singing, rhymes and music classes
• Swimming: time in the pool, building water confidence safely
• Outdoor play: parks, nature, exploring and burning off energy
Responsibilities:
Care & development:
• Sole charge of their son, with a warm, nurturing and play-based approach
• Planning creative, age-appropriate activities that support language, social and physical development
• Daily reading, music, songs and early-learning play
• Supporting key toddler milestones, such as potty training and growing independence
Out & about:
• Outdoor play, park trips and exploring Dubai’s family-friendly spaces
• Swimming and water play, keeping him safe and confident in the pool
• Toddler classes and playdates, building a happy social circle
Routine & nursery duties:
• Preparing healthy meals and snacks for him
• Managing nap, mealtime and bedtime routines in line with the parents’ approach
• Keeping his toys, books, clothes and play areas organised
The Ideal Nanny:
The family is looking for a professional, career nanny who can use their own judgement and creativity, and take real ownership of their son’s days.
Essential:
• Native-level English, with preferably UK childcare training and experience
• Proven experience caring for toddlers in a private family or early years setting
• Recognised childcare qualification (for example Norland, CACHE, NNEB, or an early years degree or diploma)
• Warm, calm and confident, with a natural, creative approach to play and learning
• Paediatric first aid certificate
• Confident in the water, and happy to take him swimming
• Excellent references that can be verified
Preferred:
• Own UAE residence visa and health insurance preferably already in place. There is the possibility of providing a visa for the right candidate.
• Experience with early years frameworks such as the EYFS
• Music, arts or outdoor-learning interests to share
