A lovely family in Dublin, Ireland are looking for a full time nanny to support them, looking after their daughter G11-months, who will have just started nursery.

The days and hours for this role are Monday to Friday 12 - 6pm, with an additional 3 hrs of babysitting fortnightly (Included in the salary), with the day agreed in advance. There is some flexibility on the hours and start times for the right candidate and further babysitting hours can be arranged in advance as needed.

A typical day starts at 12pm, with the nanny preparing G's meals, laying out her clothes for the following day and doing a load of laundry. Each week, the nanny will let the family know what food is needed for G’ meals and snacks so they can order or buy it at the weekend. At 2:30pm, they’ll collect G from creche, a 30-minute walk or tram ride from home, or a short drive in the family’s automatic car. The afternoon includes feeding G and her bath-time routine, with the day finishing at 6pm.

The ideal nanny is warm, outgoing, reliable and punctual, with a Montessori-style approach that lets G lead and play independently, actively promoting phases of development. They’ll love the outdoors, be proactive about play dates and building a nanny network, and be keen to feel part of the family. Confident with developmental play (or keen to learn), they’ll cook simple home meals, prep lunchboxes and daytime snacks, and introduce a variety of foods. Ideally open to occasional travel, such as long weekends, agreed in advance.
Essential requirements: able to drive, a non-smoker.

G is an easy-going, happy baby who is talkative, very observant and comfortable with new people. She enjoys taking the lead in play and will happily let you know when she’s hungry.

Applicants relocating from outside Ireland are welcome to stay in the family home for their first six weeks while they settle into Dublin and find accommodation, which is also a lovely opportunity to get to know the family and G.
