Lovely role for live in sole charge Nanny with warm, informal Anglo-American family in Beaconsfield with B 18mths.


Both parents work in the City of London and are looking for an experienced, energetic and engaging nanny who genuinely enjoys this age group and understands the important developmental stages ahead. Their current nanny has cared for their son from the outset and has been extremely happy with the family; she is only leaving because she has decided to relocate to London. She has set a wonderfully high standard, regularly going above and beyond, and the parents very much hope to find someone equally committed to become their second nanny.

The little boy is happy, sociable and in a very good routine. His mother is particularly keen that he continues to enjoy an active and varied week, with his current nanny arranging regular trips to the library, parks and farms, soft play and toddler groups. The ideal nanny will be naturally active and energetic, enjoy being outdoors, and be confident introducing new activities as he grows.

A good understanding of toddler development and the milestones ahead is important, including supporting speech and independence and, when the time comes, potty training.

The family take a holistic approach and are keen on fresh, nutritious, organic home-cooked food.
Hours are generally Monday to Friday, 7am–7pm. The nanny will need to be on call from 6am-7am should the little boy wake early, allowing his mother to concentrate on getting ready and leaving for work. He currently sleeps from approximately 2–4pm, has his evening bottle at 6pm and settles for bed at around 6.30pm, sleeping from approximately 7pm.

Some babysitting will be required, but this will be arranged in advance. Proxy parenting has not been required to date and the parents do not currently anticipate needing it.
This is a nursery duties only position. A cleaning lady attends once a week and there are no family pets.

Excellent private accommodation is provided in a separate guest annexe within the grounds, comprising a kitchen, sitting room and private living space, giving the nanny complete privacy when off duty.

A confident driver is essential. A nanny with their own car would be a bonus but if not a family car can be provided for use on duty. The successful candidate must also be a confident swimmer and able to ride a bicycle.

A lovely long-term position for an experienced, upbeat and proactive nanny who will throw themselves into toddler life and become a valued part of this young family.

Offering a salary of up to £40,000gpa depending on experience.
