A warm family of four based in South Oxfordshire, is seeking an experienced and qualified full-time nanny to care for their two young children, who will be one and four years old at the start of the position.

The role will primarily focus on the youngest child, with the older sibling attending school. Both parents work full-time, predominantly from their London offices, so the nanny will need to be confident providing sole-charge care and independently managing the children's daily routines. Some school drop-offs and collections will also be required.

The family is particularly keen to find an established career nanny with substantial experience caring for infants and toddlers, alongside a thorough understanding of early childhood development.

This is very much a long-term opportunity for a nanny hoping to grow with a family.

The position is live-out, working 48 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The family would ideally like someone to start in January 2027 but can offer flexibility until the end of February for the right candidate.

Responsibilities
Provide attentive, nurturing and engaging sole-charge care for the youngest child, alongside care for the older sibling as required.
Support the children's learning and development through a variety of age-appropriate activities, play and educational experiences.
Plan and organise outings, classes and opportunities for socialisation, encouraging the children to explore their interests and surroundings.
Establish and maintain consistent daily routines, including meals, naps, activities and outdoor play.
Prepare fresh, healthy meals and snacks for both children.
Assist with preschool drop-offs and collections for the older sibling, primarily on the two longer working days.
Undertake general nursery duties, including keeping the children's bedrooms, toys and play areas clean and organised.

Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years' professional nanny experience, including substantial experience providing sole-charge care for infants and toddlers.
A strong track record of working with children from approximately 12 months through to preschool age, ideally supporting the same children through multiple developmental stages.
A recognised Early Years or childcare qualification at Level 3 or above, with candidates holding Norland, Montessori, Early Childhood Studies or other relevant advanced qualifications particularly welcomed.
Excellent knowledge of early childhood development, with the ability to confidently support language acquisition, physical development, emotional regulation, social skills and emerging independence.
Proven experience planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that actively support children's learning, development and individual interests.
Confident managing all aspects of infant and toddler care, including feeding, weaning, sleep routines, developmental transitions and age-appropriate behaviour management.
A warm, nurturing and engaging personality, with a genuine passion for working with young children.
Highly organised, proactive and capable of independently managing a busy daily routine while maintaining a calm and consistent environment.
Excellent communication skills and the confidence to offer informed guidance and developmental observations whilst respecting the parents' preferences.
A professional, dependable and discreet approach, with a genuine commitment to a long-term position.

Requirements
Full driving licence and confidence driving children.
Fluent English.
Up-to-date paediatric first aid certification.
Excellent, verifiable professional references.
Legal right to work in the UK.
Ability to commute reliably to South Oxfordshire.

Start date: Ideally 4 January 2027, with flexibility until the end of February.
