Part Time Nanny
A lovely family in Hanwell is looking for a calm, experienced nanny to care for their newborn baby boy, due at the end of November. This is a long-term position for someone who enjoys caring for young babies and supporting their changing needs through the early months.
The nanny will care for the baby while Mum collects his older brothers, aged five and seven, from school and takes them to activities. Mum will manage the older boys’ care, with the nanny helping with nursery duties for all three children as time allows. The role is mainly sole charge, although Mum will be in and out of the home during the afternoon.
The family would like someone confident establishing a routine around the baby’s feeding and sleep. The nanny will have the freedom to organise the afternoon around his needs, including taking him out for walks.
Duties include:
• Managing the baby’s feeds, nappy changes and sleep, recognising his cues and helping him settle into a routine.
• Helping with nursery duties when the baby is sleeping and time allows, including washing and sterilising bottles, managing laundry for all three children and keeping their bedrooms and play areas tidy and organised. However, the baby’s care will always take priority.
• Maintaining clear communication with Mum, sharing updates on feeding, sleep and any changes in the baby’s needs.
The ideal candidate will:
• Have newborn experience and be confident managing a young baby’s care independently.
• Have a calm, gentle and patient manner, with a nurturing approach.
• Be confident supporting feeding and sleep routines, adapting these as the baby grows.
• Be tidy and organised, able to manage their time and use their initiative with nursery duties.
• Ideally speak Spanish or Italian, although this is not essential.
The family hopes to find someone who will stay with them long term. The hours are expected to remain the same for the first year, with the possibility of an increase afterwards.
No driving or travel is required. The home is approximately two minutes’ walk from the Elizabeth line. There are no pets.
