AH253: Part-Time After-School Nanny, Camberwell Grove

A returning Arthur’s House family is looking for a warm, reliable and experienced after-school nanny to care for their two children, aged 8 and 5, from January 2027. Based on Camberwell Grove, the family is seeking someone who can become a trusted, long-term part of family life and provide consistent support through the busy afternoon and early evening routine.

This part-time position would suit someone looking for regular afternoon hours alongside another commitment, with the flexibility to support occasional full days during school holidays and some travel with the family.

Key Details:
- Location: Camberwell Grove, London
- Children: Two children, aged 8 and 5, in Year 4 and Year 1
- Days: Monday to Friday
- Hours: Approximately 3:30pm–7:30pm
- Total hours: Approximately 20 hours per week
- Salary: £23 gross per hour
- Driving: Confident driver needed ideally with their own car, for school collections from Battersea

Role & Responsibilities:
The nanny will support the children’s after-school routine, including:
- Collecting both children from school in Battersea and bringing them home safely
- Providing warm, attentive care and helping the children unwind after school
- Preparing the children’s meals and supporting their evening mealtime
- Helping with homework and school reading
- Managing bath time and getting the children into their pyjamas
- Handing over to a parent after the evening routine
- Providing occasional full-day care during school holidays, as agreed
- Accompanying the family on occasional trips, by prior arrangement

Candidate Requirements:
The family is looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in caring for primary-school-aged children
- Warm, nurturing and able to build a positive relationship with both children
- Reliable, punctual and organised, with a calm approach to the after-school routine
- Confident supporting homework and preparing children’s meals
- A safe, confident driver, ideally with their own car suitable for school pickups
- Interested in a long-term role and able to offer continuity for the children
- Comfortable working closely with the parents and communicating clearly at handover
