Weekend Nanny – Near Stow-on-the-Wold, Cotswolds, Gloucestershire, GL54

We're looking for a nanny to join our busy but welcoming household in the Gloucestershire countryside, working Friday, Saturday and Sunday (7am - 7pm).

We both work demanding jobs but, at home, we're relaxed, open and straightforward. We have two young children. Our eldest girl (4.5yrs) is sociable and endlessly curious. Our youngest girl (2.5yrs) is energetic, enthusiastic and wants to explore everything. Both are happiest outdoors, hunting for bugs and snails, and both love animals. We'd love someone who enjoys the countryside as much as the girls do, and who can come up with fun, stimulating things to do both outside and indoors.

We will usually be at home at weekends, so it is important you are comfortable with that. We like to spend time with the children at the weekends, but we'll also give you the space to get on with your role.

We're looking for someone positive, calm, resilient, nurturing and kind: easy-going, and happy to muck in with family life. The role is focused entirely on childcare, but we keep a tidy, organised home and would appreciate someone who shares that approach and is willing to pitch in.

We have a housekeeper who comes twice a week. Our weekday nanny works Monday to Thursday and has excellent routines in place. We're looking for someone who will keep those going and work collaboratively alongside her.

* Hours: 7am–7pm but could be flexible on the weekend
* Experience: At least 5 years as a nanny, ideally including a family with two children of a similar age
* Qualifications: A formal childcare qualification is preferred but not essential
* Driving: Essential; a car is provided for use on duty
* Pets: One dachshund
* Salary: £20 per hour gross
