Job Summary
A private family in Kenley, South London, is seeking a warm, proactive, and experienced Nanny Housekeeper to support their four-year-old daughter and help with the smooth running of the household.
The family has had the same nanny for approximately four years and is now looking for someone who can build a positive relationship with their daughter, support her development and routine, and assist with general household duties.
The role will initially be part-time, Monday to Friday, from 14:00 to 19:00. Following the arrival of the family's second baby in March 2027, the hours are expected to increase to 10:00–19:00, offering the potential for a more extensive role.
A confident driver is essential for this position and a car can be provided (Automatic). New-born experience would be highly beneficial as the role may include caring for the baby following their arrival.
Key Responsibilities
Collecting the four-year-old from school at approximately 15:30.
Providing attentive and engaging childcare.
Supporting homework, play and age-appropriate activities.
Preparing snacks and meals for the child and family.
Managing bath time and evening routines.
Undertaking general housekeeping and keeping the home tidy.
Managing laundry and related household tasks.
Supporting the family as their childcare needs change following the arrival of the newborn.
Potentially providing newborn care as part of the expanded role.
Candidate Specification
The ideal candidate will:
Have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
Have previous experience caring for young children.
Be a confident and safe driver.
Have newborn experience, ideally.
Be happy combining childcare with housekeeping.
Be warm, engaging, proactive and organised.
Be confident supporting a child's routine, learning, and development.
Be flexible and comfortable with the potential increase in working hours.
Have excellent checkable references and a valid DBS.
Have the right to work in the UK.
