Experienced Nightly Maternity Nurse required for a three-month booking in Loddington, Leicestershire, supporting a family with their second baby and providing knowledgeable, structured overnight newborn care.


Job Summary
A returning Eden family in Leicestershire are looking for an experienced and reliable Nightly Maternity Nurse to support them following the arrival of their second baby in February 2027.
Mum plans to breastfeed initially before transitioning to bottle feeding and hopes to express milk for overnight feeds, allowing both parents to get some much-needed rest. They are looking for someone with excellent newborn knowledge who can confidently take responsibility for baby's overnight care, giving them complete peace of mind. The family would appreciate someone who can help establish good sleep associations and a gentle, consistent routine as baby develops. They are keen to introduce some structure without following an overly rigid regime. A medical or midwifery background would be strongly preferred, although they are open to considering an experienced Maternity Nurse without medical qualifications. Reliability, discretion and excellent timekeeping are particularly important to this family.

Job Specification
• Providing experienced overnight newborn care
• Supporting breastfeeding, expressing and the transition to bottle feeding
• Feeding, winding, changing and settling baby overnight
• Establishing gentle, age-appropriate routines and positive sleep associations
• Providing consistent, structured care without an overly rigid approach
• Managing baby's overnight needs to allow the parents to rest
• Maintaining baby's nursery area and equipment

Candidate Specification
• Extensive newborn and Maternity Nurse experience
• Medical or midwifery background strongly preferred
• Excellent knowledge of newborn feeding, settling and sleep development
• Confident establishing gentle routines and positive sleep associations
• Exceptionally reliable, punctual and dependable
• Calm, discreet and professional
• Capable of managing overnight care independently
• Warm, reassuring and respectful of the family's preferences

Accommodation: Bed in the nursery, sharing with baby.
