Nanny Governess – VIP Family

A prestigious VIP family in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a warm, experienced and highly professional nanny governess to care for their 9-year-old son, who will turn 10 in a couple of months.

The family has four children, each supported by their own dedicated Nanny Governess. You will be joining a lovely team of three other Western Nanny Governesses, creating a friendly, supportive and collaborative working environment.

This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced Nanny Governess who enjoys working with a school-age child and combining nurturing childcare with school support, educational activities and personal development.

The Role

During school terms, the role will primarily focus on the afternoon and evening routine after the boy finishes school. You will provide a good balance of homework and school support, educational activities, hobbies, outdoor pursuits and relaxed downtime.

The family travels frequently during school holidays, including international travel, so the successful candidate should be enthusiastic about travelling and comfortable adapting to different environments and schedules.

Working Hours
6 days per week, 12 hours per day
During school terms, primarily required from approximately 2:00pm onwards, after school.
Weekends and school holidays will follow a flexible schedule according to the family's requirements.
International travel is required during school holidays.
1 day off per week, agreed with the family.
Key Responsibilities
Provide warm, attentive and engaging care for the boy.
Support with homework, reading, school projects, revision and general schoolwork.
Encourage a positive attitude towards learning and personal development.
Liaise with parents and, when appropriate, the school regarding academic progress.
Create a structured yet enjoyable daily routine.
Encourage independence, confidence, good manners and age-appropriate life skills.
Organise stimulating educational, cultural, sporting and recreational activities.
Encourage the boy's individual interests and hobbies.
Provide emotional support and act as a positive and trusted role model.
Work closely with the three other Western Nanny Governesses to ensure excellent teamwork and consistency.
Accompany the family on international travel during school holidays.
The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a native English-speaking Nanny Governess with experience caring for school-age children and a genuine passion for supporting their development.

Confident supporting homework and schoolwork.
Energetic and happy to participate in activities and outings.
Polished, discreet and professional.
A strong team player who enjoys working alongside other Nanny Governesses.
Flexible and enthusiastic about international travel.
Experienced within a private household; VIP/UHNW experience is highly desirable.
A teaching, tutoring or educational background is advantageous but not essential.
Requirements
Native English speaker.
Valid passport with the ability to travel internationally.
Excellent checkable references.
Recent DBS or police clearance certificate.

Salary: £4,500 per month
