ASAP start for a highly experienced Nanny/Governess to join a US/Greek family based in an affluent residential area of Athens, caring for their little boy aged 2½.

The Nanny will provide a mixture of sole and shared care and should have excellent toddler experience, with a strong understanding of the developmental stages of this important early years period. The family are particularly interested in meeting degree-educated candidates with an Early Years background who can bring knowledge, warmth and enthusiasm to the role.

The Nanny will plan engaging and developmentally appropriate days, accompany to educational activities and classes, encourage his growing independence and support his learning through play and everyday experiences. Some nursery duties will be required, although this is a fully staffed household and the focus of the position is very much on the child.

The family enjoy travelling and spend time at their island summer home as well as holidaying throughout Europe and further afield, including the Maldives. The Nanny should therefore genuinely enjoy travel and be very comfortable spending time on boats, as there is considerable travel by sea between the family’s homes in Greece — good sea legs are essential!

A well-presented, native English speaker is required, together with a warm, calm and discreet manner. Separate accommodation will be provided.

The family plan to expand their family and would particularly welcome a Nanny looking for a stable, long-term position who would enjoy becoming a trusted and valued part of family life.

Working full-time, 8–10 hours per day, five days per week. Salary very flexible, depending on the candidate’s qualifications.

Start date: beginning of 2027.
