Nanny required in Duffield

We are delighted to represent a highly recommended, friendly family in Duffield with three children: two boys aged 13 and 11, and a baby boy aged four months.

The role will involve a combination of sole charge and shared care with Mum, who is at home, while Dad has a demanding career.

The older boys are fairly self-sufficient and need little care beyond mealtimes, play and study time. They are both lovely boys who enjoy helping with their baby brother. They attend the local school, which is within walking distance of the family home.

The family are ideally looking for someone with a mature outlook, warm and highly experienced, particularly with babies, who is seeking a long-term position and would enjoy becoming a trusted and familiar part of family life.

The successful candidate must be a confident driver and comfortable with some flexibility, as the family’s schedule may occasionally require additional support.

The ideal hours are Monday to Thursday, 10am–6pm, although the family are very flexible. They can offer five days per week if preferred, and the hours can be adjusted to suit the right Nanny. They would also consider fewer hours, if required.

Flexibility is important, as the role will occasionally involve a Sunday and the odd overnight, with as much notice as possible. The family have a holiday home in Mallorca, where they enjoy spending long weekends when time permits.

Any additional hours or overtime will be paid at £20 per hour.

The main purpose of the role is to support Mum and give her a break during the day, allowing her to focus on other jobs and commitments.

Duties will include all usual Nanny responsibilities, with a hands-on approach required. The family have cleaners twice a week, so there is no heavy housekeeping.

They also have a friendly dog, although no dog care is required.

The start date is flexible for the right Nanny and could be ASAP, or December/January at the latest. You will be working in a beautiful location with great working conditions.
