Nanny-Personal Assistant
Daily Nanny / Family Assistant, Live-Out – North London

We are working with a warm and welcoming family in North London to help them hire a full-time, live-out Nanny / Family Assistant. After four wonderful years, the family’s current nanny is moving on, and as the children have grown, the family’s needs have naturally evolved. They are now seeking an experienced nanny who will provide excellent childcare alongside family administration and household support.

The family genuinely value their staff and love spending time with their two children, aged 7 and 4, who both attend school full-time. This makes it an ideal position for an experienced nanny who particularly enjoys working with school-aged children and would like to develop into a Nanny / Family Assistant role. The family already employ a long-standing housekeeper of six years, so this is not a housekeeping position; the focus will be on the children, family organization and helping the household run smoothly.

The ideal start date is January 2027, although an earlier start would be considered for the right candidate. There are no pets in the home.

You MUST have the right to live and work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position.

Key Responsibilities
Collect the children from school and accompany them to after-school activities, clubs and appointments
Plan and coordinate the children’s after-school schedules, including engaging, age-appropriate and educational activities
Oversee homework and provide support and encouragement with schoolwork
Organize and track the children’s appointments, including doctors, dentists and hairdressers
Prepare healthy, home-cooked family meals from scratch, with dinner prepared in advance for the family to enjoy on their return
Take full responsibility for the children’s laundry, including washing, ironing, folding and putting away
Manage the children’s wardrobes, ensuring clothing is organized, well maintained and seasonally appropriate
Maintain the children’s bedrooms, play areas and belongings in a tidy and organized manner
Monitor clothing, shoes, school supplies and essentials, advising the family when items need replacing
Order the family’s groceries and household supplies, receiving and putting away deliveries
Manage day-to-day family errands, including dry-cleaning, post-office visits, returns and collections
Book and coordinate ad hoc household services and provide general family administration support
The role requires some flexibility on occasion, for example if a child is unwell or the parents are unexpectedly unable to take the children to school. These situations are expected to be very rare, but the family would appreciate someone who is able to step in when needed.

Ideal Candidate
Proven experience caring for children of a similar age, ideally school-aged
A strong track record of longevity in previous positions is essential
Previous experience in a Nanny / Family Assistant role highly advantageous
Warm, caring and energetic, with the confidence to set appropriate boundaries
Safety-conscious and attentive, always prioritizing the children’s wellbeing and development
A confident cook who enjoys preparing a varied range of home-cooked dishes from scratch
Highly organised and proactive, with a “can-do” attitude and the ability to use initiative
Excellent communication and time-management skills
Fluent English essential; a second European language would be welcomed
Driver would be a bonus but not essential
