A warm family is looking for an experienced and nurturing nanny to primarily care for their 4-week-old baby.

Mum is currently on maternity leave, so the position will initially be shared care, offering an extra pair of hands and support as the family adjusts to life with their new baby. Over time, the role will naturally develop into a more traditional nanny position, including taking the baby to classes, groups and activities.

The baby is predominantly breastfed. The family are particularly looking for someone with excellent newborn and baby experience who is confident with all aspects of infant care, including feeding support, winding, bathing, nappy care, sleep and routines, and later supporting the transition to weaning. A maternity nurse qualification would be a real advantage.

The family also have a 4-year-old daughter who attends preschool and currently has an afternoon nanny, so the main focus of this position will be the baby.

The ideal nanny will be warm, gentle and outgoing, with excellent communication skills and a responsible, confident approach. The parents would love someone knowledgeable who is happy to offer guidance and reassurance while also respecting their parenting choices.

All usual nursery duties will be included, such as sterilising, baby's laundry, keeping nursery areas organised and preparing food when weaning begins.
