Part-Time Nanny / Housekeeper Wanted

We are a warm family who recently moved from the US to London with our 3-year-old son and 8-month-old daughter. We are looking for an energetic, reliable and experienced nanny/housekeeper who genuinely loves children and can become a trusted part of our family.

Our ideal candidate is kind, patient and nurturing, but also proactive and confident in setting boundaries. We want someone who actively engages with our children, challenges them to learn new skills and encourages their confidence, curiosity and independence.

Key Responsibilities

Childcare & Development

Provide loving, attentive care for both children.
Plan engaging activities, including reading, creative play, outdoor adventures and educational games.
Support their physical, emotional, social and language development.
Take the children to swimming lessons, music classes and playdates.
Maintain daily routines, including meals, naps, dinner and bath time.
Prepare healthy meals and snacks.
Encourage good manners, independence and positive behaviour.
Keep children's bedrooms, toys and clothes organised.

Housekeeping & Household Support

Maintain a clean, tidy and organised home.
Clean and sterilise baby bottles.
Handle laundry, folding and putting clothes away.
Keep the kitchen clean and manage the dishwasher.
Assist with meal preparation and family dinner.
Help with basic cleaning, general tidying and occasional errands.
Take initiative without constantly needing direction.

Childcare will always be the first priority, with housekeeping managed around the children's routines.

Requirements
Experience caring for both babies and toddlers.
Fluent English is essential.
Warm, patient, energetic and genuinely enthusiastic about children.
Excellent punctuality, reliability and timekeeping.
Trustworthy, responsible, proactive and highly organised.
Confident managing two young children and maintaining routines.
Strong communication skills and willingness to provide regular updates.
Flexible and comfortable following our parenting approach.
Excellent references and an enhanced DBS check, or willingness to obtain one.

Punctuality, reliability, honesty and trustworthiness are non-negotiable. We expect minimal personal phone use while caring for the children, open communication and some flexibility within agreed working hours when family schedules change.
