Permanent nanny | Highgate | Monday–Friday | 30–40 hours per week

Hello! We’re a family of five, originally from Australia and now living in Highgate. We have a baby and two children aged 5 and 7. We’re looking for a warm, reliable nanny to join us long term. Our previous nanny was with us for six years and has recently retired.

CHILDREN:
One girl aged 10 months
One girl aged 7, one boy aged 5 (both at school)

WORKING HOURS:
We need a consistent Monday-to-Friday arrangement of around 30–40 hours a week.
Two or three days would be full days, from 8am to 6:30pm. On the remaining days, we need afternoon help, with a start time around 1pm or 3pm depending on the schedule we agree. We’d also appreciate occasional evening babysitting, arranged in advance.

During school holidays, we’re open to either continuing at around 35 hours a week or arranging a term-time-only role, depending on your preference and the final schedule.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Caring for the baby on full days, including all food, naps and sleep routine, local playgroups etc
Picking up the 5- and 7-year-olds from school, a 15-minute walk from our home, and taking them to after-school clubs
Preparing simple evening meals for the children
Encouraging independence and good manners, and providing calm emotional support
Keeping children’s areas tidy (bedrooms/play areas/kitchen) after meals and activities, and helping organise school belongings
Occasional washing and organising children's clothes

We are an organised house but household tasks are limited to the children’s needs during working hours, such as clearing up after their meals and loading or unloading dishwasher.

No deep cleaning is required.

REQUIREMENTS
Previous professional nanny experience with babies or toddlers and with school-aged children
Experience supporting early development and milestones.
Fluent English speaker
Reliable, organised and comfortable managing school pick-ups and activities.
Fluent English speaker
An enhanced DBS check and the right to work in the UK.
We’d also welcome someone who speaks French or Spanish with the children, though neither language is required.
