Live Out Nanny Needed

Kind, attentive, and nurturing nanny needed for a baby born in May 2026.

Vital requirements: Dutch residence permit or EU passport.
Location: The Hague.
Days: Three weekdays, ideally Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (Thursday could also be one of the three days).
Daily hours: 9 - 5 pm.

Start Date: Ideally 9th November (there is some flexibility).

Commitment & contract length: Initial contract of 7 months, likely to extend, as they are seeking someone to commit for 18 months - 2 years.

Responsibilities and duties:
Caring for the baby, including feeding, diaper changes, etc
Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities to encourage his developmental milestones
Tidy up after yourself and the baby
Some support with baby laundry would be appreciated
Help with weaning onto solids
Communicate regularly with the parents
As the baby grows, someone open to babysitting would be appreciated
Happy to support the baby to sleep with rocking, contact naps, etc
Take the baby outside every day.

Experience, qualifications, approach, and skills:
An English-speaking nanny is needed; it's a plus if you also speak Dutch. Spanish or French are also appreciated
Minimum of 3 years of professional childcare, including experience working with babies
Previous nanny experience is a preference
Someone confident having sole charge and also working with the parents around. Mum will initially return to work on a part-time basis
A very attentive nanny, nurturing, and very responsive when the baby cries
A playful and active approach is needed; someone happy to take the baby for walks, sing, read, plan sensory activities, etc.

Live-out role accommodation is not provided; candidates need to be living locally to be considered
Non-smoking position
The family is happy to discuss an employment contract or home services scheme. They have a strong preference for a nanny registered in the LRK.
