We are looking for a wonderful, fun, active and creative DRIVING Nanny to join a warm, welcoming and down to earth family based in Harpenden, AL5 in Hertfordshire. They have three wonderful children aged 8, almost 6 and almost 3 who are all super sweet, active and fun with different interests and personalities.

Both parents have demanding careers in London but are warm, hands on and really value their nanny and the important role they play within their family. Their current nanny is going on maternity leave and they hope to find someone who will become a trusted and valued part of family life from December.

The boys attend the same school, just a 7 minute drive from home, while their daughter attends preschool for one full day and two mornings each week.

This is a fun and active family who want their children to enjoy being children for as long as possible! They have a large garden and love seeing them outdoors, playing sports, exploring nature and using their imaginations. They would love an outdoorsy, energetic nanny with lots of creative ideas, from treasure maps and baking to activities, zoo trips and farm visits.

The eldest boy is calm, kind and football obsessed and also loves tennis, building aircraft models and planting in the garden. His younger brother looks up to him, is very active, enjoys being challenged and thrives with structure. He loves football, Pokémon and gymnastics. Their daughter is independent and imaginative and loves books, dancing, baking and role play.

They are looking for a highly organised, proactive and switched on nanny with strong Early Years experience. An Early Years/childcare qualification would be a real bonus. The ideal nanny will be warm, calm and consistent, fun but firm when needed, and able to go with the flow when appropriate, while confidently maintaining the children's established routines and structure.

Mum is hands on and WFH a couple of afternoons each week, so the nanny should enjoy working collaboratively with parents and be a great team player with excellent communication.

The family employ a housekeeper for a few hours each day who takes care of laundry and cleaning. When the youngest is at nursery, the nanny can use this time for cooking, organisation and Family Assistant duties, as well as having some downtime due to the long working days.

Harpenden has excellent Thameslink connections, approximately 17 minutes to West Hampstead and 30 minutes to King's Cross/Farringdon. Parking is also available.

START: Beginning of December ideally

SALARY: Excellent competitive London market rate salary depending on experience and qualifications

DAYS: Monday to Friday

HOURS: 7.30am–6.30pm (flexibility to possibly start later on a Monday)

DUTIES:
• All nursery duties relating to the children
• School/nursery drop offs and collections by car
• Planning fun, creative and age appropriate activities
• Organising playdates, outings and holiday activities
• Taking the children to after school activities
• Preparing simple, healthy meals for the children
• Children's wardrobe organisation
• Keeping children's bedrooms, toys and play areas organised
• Managing children's schedules and appointments
• Encouraging age appropriate independence and responsibility
• Light Family Assistant/PA duties when time allows

REQUIREMENTS:
• Strong Early Years and school aged experience
• Confident caring for three children
• Early Years/childcare qualification a bonus
• Fun, active, sporty, creative and imaginative
• Highly organised, proactive and able to take initiative
• Warm, calm and consistent with appropriate boundaries
• Able to maintain routines while being adaptable when appropriate
• Fluent English speaker
• Confident driver essential – automatic Volvo provided
• Excellent communicator and genuine team player
• Comfortable working long days
• Occasional travel a bonus but not essential
