Live-in Nanny

A lovely French family in Paris is looking for a proactive, curious and fun Live-in Nanny for their three children (aged 7, 5 and 3). They’re looking for someone very special: a native English speaker whose warmth, care and imagination bring out the best in children. Common sense is essential, and a great sense of humour will make you an instant favourite.

Both parents are French, but England runs through their story, nine years in London for the mother, seven for the father, and both boys born there. The children are bilingual, and the family wants a Nanny who keeps that English connection alive.

This is a rare chance to join a warm, stable household. The current nanny is leaving for personal reasons; her predecessor stayed two and a half happy years, only moving on to get married. The family is looking for someone ready to put down roots and become part of theirs.

Responsibilities of the Live-in Nanny in Paris, France, include:
All children-related household duties, including the children’s laundry and ironing
Keeping the children’s rooms and areas clean and tidy
Cooking meals for the family to enjoy together (no allergies to plan around)
Supporting the children’s bilingual (English/French) upbringing day to day
Driving the children to their activities — a confident driver is required
Working alongside a bilingual nanny helper who assists on Wednesdays
Travelling with the family during holidays as the children get older, potentially including European city breaks

Candidates must be/have:
Strong experience in a similar Nanny position, ideally with children of a similar age
A native English speaker (preferred)
Loving, caring and naturally stimulating with children
Proactive, curious, organised and fun, with plenty of common sense and a good sense of humour
A confident, capable driver
Comfortable living as part of a French speaking household and supporting bilingual children
Looking for a long-term role — the family value longevity and stability
Eligible to live and work in France, or open to visa sponsorship for the right candidate / UK Passport holders will be considered

Accommodation
Separate accommodation is provided in the same building as the family (a one-bedroom flat, approximately 30 sqm).
The family holiday mostly at their house in Normandy (2km from the sea), in Provence, or in the west of France, plus skiing in the winter break — the nanny will have their own bedroom and bathroom when travelling, where possible.

Hours
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 08:00 – 19:00 with a 1 hour break.
Wednesday: 09:00 – 19:00 (with a bilingual nanny helper assisting on this day).
Five weeks’ paid annual leave, including bank holidays. All three children are at school during the day.

Location
Paris, France + regular travel.

Salary
€3,000 – €3,600 net per month, depending on experience.
