A lovely family based in Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi, is seeking an experienced, highly educated and professional Governess to support the education, development and daily routine of their two young children.

The family is ideally looking for a candidate with a strong educational background and experience working with either the British or American curriculum.

The Governess will primarily be responsible for two children:

Boy – 5 years old

Girl – 3 years old

Both children will be attending a prestigious school, following the British curriculum.

The children are not native English speakers, so the successful candidate will play an important role in providing English-language immersion, supporting their school adaptation and developing their confidence in English.

A third child is expected in early 2027. A separate nanny is planned for the newborn, and the Governess's primary responsibility will remain with the two older children. Occasional light assistance may be requested.

The Role

This is an educational and developmental Governess role. The family is looking for a candidate who can provide a structured, purposeful and engaging approach to the children's development.

The successful candidate will help the children to:

Adapt successfully to their current British curriculum;

Develop strong English-language skills;

Build excellent study habits and academic foundations;

Remain engaged in purposeful and enriching activities;

Develop confidence, independence and good manners;

Achieve strong and consistent academic results; and

In the longer term, prepare for a transition towards an American curriculum and future international academic opportunities.

The family has high aspirations for the children's education and would like a candidate who can support them over the long term.
