Nanny-Housekeeper
We are a warm, friendly family looking for a lovely nanny-housekeeper to join us on a long-term basis and become an important part of our family life.
I’m a very hands-on mum and I’m really looking for someone who wants to work alongside me as a team. I don’t want somebody who feels they have to disappear into the background or who is simply here to “do a job” — I’d love to find someone warm, happy and easy-going who genuinely enjoys being around children and family life.
We have two gorgeous little boys, aged 3 and 7 months. They are very loving, funny little characters and the most important thing to us is finding someone who will genuinely care for them, have fun with them and build a lovely bond with them.
The role is a mixture of nannying and housekeeping, so we are looking for someone who is equally comfortable caring for the boys and helping to keep the household running smoothly. This would include the usual nursery duties, preparing food for the children, keeping their rooms and things organised, laundry, general tidying and housekeeping, and simply mucking in with whatever needs doing as part of everyday family life.
When we are in the UK, the boys attend nursery for part of the week, so there is time during those days to concentrate more on the housekeeping side of the role.
We travel extensively throughout the year and spend a lot of time abroad, so this position would really suit someone who loves travelling and would enjoy the opportunity to see different parts of the world while still having the security of a permanent position with one family. Our travel tends to be to lovely, warm destinations and we always make sure whoever is travelling with us is comfortable and well looked after.
We are very used to having somebody working closely with our family and it is really important to me that the person who joins us feels valued. You will be treated as part of our family, included, looked after and appreciated. I want someone to be happy in their job and to feel comfortable talking to me about anything.
Personality is just as important to us as experience. We would love someone who is kind, warm, trustworthy, organised and proactive, with a good sense of humour and a positive attitude. Someone who notices what needs doing and is happy to get stuck in, but who is also relaxed and easy to have around.
Experience with babies and young children is important, as is being confident travelling with a family. We are ideally looking for somebody who wants to settle into a role for the long term and become a familiar, trusted and much-loved person in our boys’ lives.
We hope to find someone seeking a long-term position who will grow with our family and become a familiar, trusted and much-loved part of our boys’ lives. For the right person, this is an opportunity to build a lasting relationship with a family, enjoy extensive travel and play an important role in our children’s early years.
If this sounds like the sort of family and position you are looking for, I would really love to hear from you and tell you a little more about us.
