Job Summary:
A busy and active private family in Dorset is seeking an experienced, proactive Second Nanny to join their established household team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care, educational and study support for two boys aged 8 and 6, working closely with the parents and existing nanny. This is not a traditional sole-charge position; the family is regularly present in the home, so the nanny must be comfortable working collaboratively within a busy family environment. The ideal candidate will be warm, reliable, highly organised, discreet, proactive and an excellent communicator.
The existing nanny works Monday–Wednesday, with both nannies working closely together to ensure consistency and a smooth weekly handover. The successful candidate will initially shadow the existing nanny during onboarding, learn the family’s established routines and then take responsibility independently. National and international travel is required, including during school holidays, on a two-week-on/two-week-off travel rota with the current nanny. A family car is provided.

General Duties:
• Provide high-quality day-to-day care for two boys aged 8 and 6.
• Manage morning routines, breakfast, dressing and school preparation.
• Prepare uniforms, school bags and equipment.
• Complete school drop-offs and collections.
• Provide homework, reading, writing and educational support.
• Support structured study routines, organisation, sequencing and study skills.
• Take the children to clubs, activities, playdates, sports and appointments.
• Schedule and coordinate children’s appointments and activities.


Candidate Specifications:
• Minimum 5 years’ professional nanny experience, preferably within a UHNW/private household.
• Proven experience caring for children of a similar age.
• Strong educational, homework and study-support experience.
• Experience in a shared-care or multiple-nanny environment is advantageous.
• Highly organised, proactive, reliable and discreet.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working collaboratively with parents and an established household team.
• Confident driving children.
• Comfortable using the family car, which is provided for work.
• Spanish or another additional language would be advantageous.
