An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced and engaging Academic Tutor to join a VIP family based in Doha, Qatar. Supporting a 10th-grade student, this is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated educator who is passionate about helping young people reach their full academic potential while building confidence, independence, and effective study habits.

The family are seeking a tutor who is familiar with the American curriculum and is confident teaching across a broad range of subjects, including Mathematics, Science, English Language Arts, and other core academic disciplines. Although the primary responsibility will be supporting the family's 10th-grade son, there may be occasional opportunities to assist the family's other children when required, alongside their existing tutor.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating structured yet engaging learning sessions that simplify complex concepts and encourage the student to develop strong independent learning skills. The family value quality over quantity and are looking for someone who can deliver focused, effective tuition in an enjoyable and motivating way, rather than relying on lengthy study sessions.

This is a live-in position with excellent benefits. Single candidates will be provided with a spacious two-bedroom apartment shared with one other tutor, while candidates relocating with a spouse or family will be offered separate family accommodation. The family office will arrange and cover all visa costs, international flights, health insurance, and daily transportation between the accommodation and workplace.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Delivering engaging tuition across the American curriculum, including Mathematics, Science, and English Language Arts
• Supporting the student's academic progress and examination preparation
• Building confidence, motivation, and independent study skills
• Developing effective learning strategies tailored to the student's needs
• Monitoring academic progress and providing regular feedback to the family
• Creating enjoyable, focused, and interactive learning sessions
• Assisting with homework, revision, and project work
• Occasionally providing academic support to the family's other children if required

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Qualified teacher or experienced Academic Tutor with a university degree
• Strong knowledge of the American curriculum (essential)
• Ability to teach multiple academic subjects to secondary school level
• Positive, engaging, and encouraging teaching style
• Ability to simplify complex concepts and inspire confidence in students
• Highly organised with excellent communication skills
• Professional, discreet, and culturally sensitive
• Flexible and adaptable approach
• Previous experience within a private household or tutoring environment advantageous
• Excellent checkable references
