Current Nanny, who is leaving to undertake her Master’s degree, highly recommends this lovely, informal family, who seek long-term, experienced and young-at-heart Nanny for the sole and shared care of their 2½-year-old daughter.

The family live in a beautiful rural location in the countryside near Hanover, so a country-loving Nanny is essential; someone who will genuinely enjoy the surroundings and make the most of everything country life has to offer with a young child. There will be plenty of opportunity to go to Hanover as the family go into town often.

This is very much a long-term appointment and the family would like to find a warm, nurturing and engaging Nanny who will become a trusted part of family life. Their daughter is an active little girl who enjoys gymnastics, music and dancing, and the Nanny will be encouraged to organise plenty of stimulating, age-appropriate activities and outings.

Taking responsibility for all aspects of her day-to-day care, the Nanny will establish a happy and well-structured routine, prepare fresh and healthy meals and snacks, support her learning and developmental milestones, encourage her growing independence and take responsibility for all nursery duties and her belongings.

The family follow a gentle parenting approach and are particularly keen to find someone compassionate, patient and nurturing, whilst equally confident in establishing appropriate boundaries and providing consistency and structure.

The role is approximately 40 hours over five days per week, with some flexibility required according to the family's schedule. Having said that, the family have only asked their current nanny to work 1 weekend in the past year. There will also be occasional babysitting and the possibility of proxy parenting.
The family travel within Europe for approximately 7-9 times per annum, both on business and for leisure, and would like their Nanny to accompany them, so flexibility to travel is important.

Due to the rural location, a confident driver is essential, and a car will be provided for Nanny use.

Fluent English is essential and German would be a bonus. The family are open to different nationalities and, where required, can consider sponsorship for a suitable candidate with a Bachelor’s degree. An EU passport holder would also be welcomed.

Excellent separate accommodation is provided in the form of a private two-bedroom apartment on the family’s property.

Starting salary dependent on experience from €54,000gpa, plus bonus.
