After-School Nanny

Position
A lovely family is seeking a reliable and caring After-School Nanny to care for their daughter, who turned 3 years old in May, three afternoons a week during term time.
This is an ideal role for a dependable nanny who enjoys working with young children and is confident travelling on public transport with them.
Working Hours
• Tuesday to Thursday
• Term time only
• 3:30pm – 7:30pm
Salary
• £20 per hour (gross)
• Up to £22 per hour (gross) for a Mandarin-speaking nanny.
Key Responsibilities
• Collect the family’s daughter from her nursery/prep school in Victoria at 3:30pm.
• Travel home with her safely via the London Underground to Canary Wharf.
• Provide attentive and engaging care until the parents return at 7:30pm.
• Plan age-appropriate play and activities at home.
• Prepare a light snack if required.
• Ensure the child’s safety, happiness, and wellbeing at all times.
• Communicate with the parents about the afternoon’s activities.
Candidate Requirements
• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
• Warm, kind, and engaging with young children.
• Comfortable travelling with a child on public transport.
• Previous childcare experience is welcomed, but extensive nanny experience is not essential.
• Mandarin speaker desirable (not essential).
• Enhanced DBS check.
• Excellent references.
The Ideal Candidate
The family is looking for a dependable and friendly nanny who can become a consistent part of their daughter’s routine, providing a safe, caring, and enjoyable environment after school. A Mandarin speaker would be highly valued, although the family is equally happy to consider candidates with excellent childcare skills and a reliable, caring nature.
