Nanny / Housekeeper – Lovely Family | Eltham, South East London

£18–£20 gross per hour | Monday–Thursday | 2.30pm–7.30pm | 16–20 hours per week

A lovely family in Eltham is looking for a warm, caring and reliable Nanny / Housekeeper to join their household and provide a combination of after-school childcare and household support.

The role is Monday to Thursday, with hours generally falling between 2.30pm and 7.30pm, offering around 16–20 hours per week depending on the family's requirements.

The family have three children aged 5–10. The children finish school at around 2.55pm, so the earlier part of the afternoon can be used for household tasks before the focus moves to after-school childcare.

The role

The successful candidate will help with both childcare and the general running of the home, including:

After-school care for three school-age children
Helping with homework and reading
Preparing and cooking family meals
Taking the children to activities when required
Supporting with bath and bedtime routines
Getting school bags and belongings ready for the following day
General cleaning and tidying
Children's laundry and ironing
Keeping children's bedrooms and family living areas tidy
Cleaning and maintaining the kitchen
Changing bed linen
Helping with general household organisation
Taking initiative and helping with whatever needs doing around the home

The family are looking for someone who is happy to combine childcare with housekeeping and enjoys being that extra pair of hands for a busy family.

The ideal candidate

The right person will be warm, caring and confident with school-age children, while also being practical, organised and happy to take responsibility for the housekeeping side of the role.

You should be:

Experienced working with children of a similar age
Warm, nurturing and engaging
Proactive, organised and practical
Reliable, trustworthy and discreet
Confident preparing and cooking family meals
Happy combining childcare and housekeeping
Comfortable working independently and using your initiative
Looking for a long-term position with a lovely family

£18–£20 gross per hour, Monday–Thursday, generally between 2.30pm and 7.30pm, with approximately 16–20 hours available each week.
