Private Family | Live-Out | Accommodation Provided | Hours & Days Negotiable

We are seeking an experienced Behavioural & Emotional Development Specialist / CBT-informed Practitioner to work privately with four children within a fully staffed private household.

This is a specialist, one-to-one developmental role. It is not a nanny, governess, or general childcare position. The family already has other educational staff in place, and the successful candidate will focus exclusively on supporting the children’s emotional regulation and behavioural development.

The Role

The specialist will provide structured one-to-one sessions with the children, with a particular focus on:

* Emotional regulation and helping children understand and manage strong emotions
* Tantrums, emotional outbursts and challenging behaviours
* Developing age-appropriate coping and self-regulation strategies
* Identifying triggers and behavioural patterns
* Building emotional awareness, resilience and positive responses
* Using CBT-informed and evidence-based behavioural approaches appropriate to each child’s age and needs
* Developing practical strategies that can be consistently reinforced within the children’s daily environment
* Observing progress and adapting approaches accordingly

There are no nanny duties, household duties or general childcare responsibilities attached to this position.

Candidate Requirements

Applications will only be considered from candidates with a genuine professional background in children’s behaviour, emotional development, psychology, CBT, behavioural therapy or a closely related discipline.

Please do not apply if you do not have professional experience or relevant training in children’s behavioural and emotional needs, including the management of tantrums and emotional dysregulation.

The successful candidate should be:

* Experienced in working directly with children on a one-to-one basis
* Confident managing challenging behaviour and emotional outbursts calmly and professionally
* Knowledgeable in CBT-informed and/or recognised behavioural intervention techniques
* Warm, patient and emotionally attuned while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries
* Able to collaborate discreetly within an established private household team
