We are a family working in the music industry, high profile but very laid back, looking for a career Nanny/Governess who wants to become a real part of the household.
Our daughter is a bright, happy 5 year old who has grown up with professional nannies (the first stayed four years) and thrives with that dynamic.

The setting
A detached villa with a garden in central Milan. You get the best room in the house: a large, sunny private suite with its own bathroom, walk in closet and a balcony over the garden. A housekeeper comes in daily and a chef handles the family's meals, so your focus stays entirely on our daughter.
We travel as a family to Sardinia in spring and autumn, where you have your own room, and on ski trips in winter.

Weekend commitment
Because of our work we travel most weekends. During those weekends you hold sole charge of our daughter and the household. This is the core of the role, so please apply only if that genuinely suits you.
In exchange, rest is flexible: a weekday off, or batched days off (for example five in a row) so you can travel home or take a proper break. We work around what you need.

The schedule
During term time our daughter is at an international school five minutes' walk from home until 15:30, and nine times out of ten I collect her myself. Your mornings and early afternoons are yours, to study, explore Milan or rest.
School holidays are full days rather than free mornings, and we plan them together well in advance.
At night you keep the baby monitor for the occasional bad dream. Nights are quiet.

Requirements
Native or fully fluent English. Where you are from doesn't matter to us, the English does. We speak English at home and will happily help you with Italian, which is a plus and not a requirement.
Minimum 5 years' professional nanny experience with proven sole charge. Previous live in experience required. High profile or HNW households an advantage.

A career nanny looking for a long stay. Minimum 12 month commitment, and we would be delighted if it were much longer.
Proactive, organised, able to run the household independently.
Discretion, with a confidentiality agreement forming part of the contract.
EU passport or valid Italian work permit. We are not able to sponsor visas.

Terms
Fully regular Italian contract, permanent. 2500 net per month, plus 13th month and TFR, on top of private suite and full board.
