Rotananny
Rota Nanny – Milan, Italy with International Travel
Two-week rotation | One girl aged 5 | £70,000–£85,000 gross per annum
EU Passport essential
Role Overview
A warm and welcoming family relocating from the UK to Milan, Italy, is seeking an educationally focused rota nanny to care for their bright, independent and outgoing 5-year-old daughter. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional nanny with a strong educational background to support a child who is curious, confident and ready to begin full-time school.
The role would suit a candidate who has worked both as a teacher and as a nanny, and who can bring creativity, structure and enthusiasm to the child’s day-to-day routine. The successful candidate will be engaging, educated, proactive and highly organised, with excellent communication skills and a positive, energetic approach.
The Role
The nanny will be responsible for the child’s daily care, with a particular focus on education, development and age-appropriate learning. The family are looking for someone imaginative and hands-on who can arrange a varied programme of activities, outings, playdates and stimulating experiences, both at home and in the local area.
The little girl will be starting school full time, so the nanny will be responsible for school runs, supporting school routines, diary management and the smooth organisation of her daily schedule. They will also respond to emails from the school and liaise with teachers as required. International travel with the family will also form part of the role.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide sole-charge, day-to-day care for one 5-year-old girl.
• Support the child’s education, learning and development through structured, age-appropriate activities.
• Plan creative play, educational projects, outings and playdates.
• Manage school runs, school routines, diary management and the organisation of the child’s schedule.
• Respond to emails from the school and liaise with teachers as required.
• Prepare healthy, nutritious meals for the child and promote balanced eating habits.
• Manage child-related shopping and ensure the child’s belongings are well organised.
• Travel internationally with the family as required.
Household Support
The family employs housekeepers, so laundry and general housekeeping will not be required. The nanny’s focus will be on the child’s care, education, development, meals and daily organisation.
Candidate Requirements
• Previous experience as both a teacher and a nanny is strongly preferred.
• Educationally focused, creative and confident in supporting a bright young learner.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Active, energetic and positive, with a warm and engaging manner.
• Knowledgeable about healthy nutrition and confident preparing nutritious meals.
• Comfortable travelling internationally with the family.
