Warm, professional temporary daily nanny needed to support a traditional Muslim household in Derby with three children (girls 10 & 7; boy 2) through August and September. This is a short-term role focused on stabilising the weekday routine, supporting the children during a period of family change, and providing a calm, reliable presence in the home.

The role will involve a mix of sole charge and shared care, working alongside a parent who is recovering from a serious medical event and may have fluctuating energy levels.

Hours
- Monday to Friday
- Full-time temporary cover, likely around 50 hours per week
- Likely start around 7:30am
- Some flexibility required around the family’s routine, school/nursery needs, and appointments

Key responsibilities

- Support the morning routine and help prepare the children for the day
- School and nursery runs
- Provide mid-morning support at home, as required
- Afternoon wraparound care, including pick-ups and the after-school routine
- Support attendance at mosque classes
- Plan age-appropriate activities for the children during the summer holidays and after school
- Support learning/homework for the older children where needed
- Provide calm, consistent care and emotional support for the children
- Light child-related duties during quieter periods, including:
- Children’s laundry
- Keeping bedrooms/play areas tidy
- Simple food preparation / meal support for the children

Candidate requirements

- Proven nanny experience with toddlers and school-age children
- Confident driver — essential
- Warm, calm, reliable, and highly organised
- Able to step into a temporary role quickly and provide structure from day one
- Comfortable working alongside a parent recovering from a serious medical event
- Respectful of a traditional Muslim household, including prayer routines and mosque classes
- Up-to-date DBS
- Paediatric First Aid

Compensation guidance

- Potentially up to £25 gross per hour for the right profile / final scope
