Schedule: 1 week on / 1 week off when in London., the rota may change to 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off, depending on travel

A warm and welcoming family based in Chelsea is seeking an experienced live-in rota nanny to join their household on a long-term basis.
This is a shared-care role, the family's primary requirement is for a nanny who will take the lead in caring for their 1-year-old daughter, providing attentive, nurturing care while supporting her development, routines, and overall wellbeing. There is also a 4-year-old daughter, who is at school during the day, and the nanny will assist with her care when appropriate, particularly outside school hours and during holidays, working collaboratively with the parents.
The ideal candidate will have excellent experience caring for babies and toddlers, with a strong understanding of early years development, sleep routines, weaning, nutrition, and planning stimulating, age-appropriate activities. They will be confident fostering a warm, loving environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and emotional security.
The family is looking for a loving , warm, professional nanny with a calm, proactive, and organised approach who is equally comfortable taking initiative and working collaboratively within a fully staffed household. Strong communication skills, flexibility, and discretion are essential, as is the ability to adapt to the family's lifestyle and routines.
Applicants should have a minimum of 10 years' professional nanny experience, including substantial experience caring for children from infancy. Previous rota experience within private households is highly desirable, together with a proven track record of longevity in previous positions.
The nanny will have their own private bedroom and bathroom while on duty. The role includes international travel throughout the year, accompanying the family on holidays and extended trips.
Essential Requirements
Minimum 10 years' professional nanny experience.
Significant experience caring for babies and toddlers.
Excellent understanding of early childhood development.
Experience working successfully in a shared-care role with involved parents.
Calm, warm, discreet, reliable, and flexible nature.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently while also collaborating closely with parents and household staff.
Right to work in the UK.
Previous rota experience preferred.
Desirable - French speaking. Not essential though.
