An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Live in Housekeeper Cook to join a private household in Florence, providing the highest standard of housekeeping while supporting the smooth running of a beautiful family home.

Job Summary:
Our returning client is seeking a highly experienced, discreet and proactive Live in Housekeeper to become a valued member of their household team. This is a long term opportunity for a professional who takes genuine pride in maintaining immaculate standards and enjoys working within a well-organised private residence.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day housekeeping of the family home. Although the role is predominantly housekeeping and cooking focused, occasional assistance with the children would be appreciated when needed.

The family reside in a spacious five bedroom, six bathroom home with two reception rooms, a dining room and kitchen. The successful candidate will take responsibility for ensuring the property remains immaculately presented at all times to ensure the home runs efficiently.

The role includes extensive housekeeping, laundry and wardrobe management, together with meal preparation and short periods of childcare support when required.


Job specification:
• Daily cleaning and presentation of the home
• Laundry, ironing and linen care
• Wardrobe organisation and management
• Changing bed linen
• Caring for delicate furnishings, fabrics and household items
• Household organisation and general errands
• Maintaining exceptional housekeeping standards throughout the property
• Working collaboratively with the wider household team
• Driving for household errands when required
• Travelling with the family to other residences for several months each year
• Occasional supervision of the children when required, alongside the family's full-time nanny
• Traveling with family to secondary residences, primarily in France, where there is a larger team

Candidate specification:
• Highly experienced within private households, ideally with 10+ years' experience
• Discreet, trustworthy and professional
• Exceptionally organised with excellent attention to detail
• A strong team player who enjoys working alongside other household staff when travelling
• Confident caring for fine furnishings and delicate materials
• Comfortable providing occasional childcare support
• A confident cook or happy to assist with meal preparation
• Fluent in English, Spanish, Italian or French
• A confident driver with a clean driving licence
• Flexible and happy to travel with the family when required
