Live-in Housekeeper / Family Assistant

Location: Near Sevenoaks - TN15 (Rural village location)
Start date: Early September 2026
Days: Monday to Friday
Hours: Full-time split shift (approximately 7.15am-11.15am, then 3.15pm-7.15pm). 2 evenings of babysitting (Mon-Fri)
Children: G13, G11 and B4
Driver: Essential, car provided
Accommodation: Private bedroom and bathroom in separate annex
Salary: £42-48K Gross per year
Contract: Permanent, year-round

A busy family with three children—G13, G11 and B4—is looking for an experienced, proactive and warm live-in Housekeeper / Family Assistant to join them on a long-term basis.

The youngest child will be starting Reception in September. The older children will be entering Years 9 and 7. The role will combine daily household management with after-school childcare and family support.

The family already employs a cleaner for deep cleaning, so the successful candidate will focus on the daily organisation and smooth running of the home.

Housekeeping and Household Duties

* General housekeeping, including emptying the dishwasher, laundry, ironing, tidying, and keeping the home clean and organised, putting away groceries, errands, and helping with pet care.
* Taking ownership of routine household tasks and noticing what needs to be done
* Preparing healthy family dinners on weekdays

A separate cleaner is employed for deep cleaning.

Childcare and Family Support

The childcare element is primarily focused on school pick-ups, activities, meals, and routines. The role will include helping with the youngest child’s reception routine, including reading.

Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be:

* An experienced housekeeper, Housekeeper / Family Assistant or Nanny-Housekeeper
* Warm, reliable, discreet and professional
* Proactive and able to work independently
* Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail
* Confident preparing healthy family meals
* Comfortable caring for children across different age groups
* A safe and confident driver (essential)
* Cat-friendly
* Looking for a stable, long-term position

A current enhanced DBS check and paediatric first-aid qualification are desirable. The family will require excellent, checkable references.
