Family are looking for a local new nanny. Please only apply for this job position if you live less than 40 min away from door to door by public transport or less than 20 minutes by car.

Hours: 7:30am–6:30pm, Monday–Friday (some flexibility on Fridays), plus occasional evening babysitting by prior agreement

Children: Three — boy (8), girl (6), girl (2)

Salary: £68 .000 gross - £73.000 gross per annum
Start date: August/September

This job position is for a driver only.

Role Overview
We are seeking a warm, experienced, proactive and organised nanny to provide exceptional care for our children in a busy family home. The successful candidate will create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment, support the children's development, manage their day-to-day routines, and undertake all nursery duties.
The ideal candidate will be energetic, dependable, a confident driver of children, and able to work independently while maintaining excellent communication with parents.

Key Responsibilities
Childcare & Wellbeing
• Ensure the children's welfare, health, safety and emotional wellbeing at all times.
• Support each child's physical, emotional, social and educational development through age-appropriate activities.
• Maintain consistent daily routines while encouraging independence and confidence.
• Provide attentive care when children are unwell; administer medication only with parental permission, maintaining an accurate medication log.
Learning & Development
• Plan engaging educational and creative activities that promote learning through play.
• Support development in reading, writing, drawing, music, dressing skills, telling the time and other age-appropriate milestones.
• Organise outings such as parks, museums, swimming, classes and picnics.
• Arrange activities at home including arts and crafts, baking, games, and imaginative and outdoor play.
School Runs & Activities
• Take the two older children to school in the morning and collect them each afternoon (a full, clean driving licence and confidence driving children are essential).
• Assist with homework.
• Transport children safely to after-school clubs, sports and other activities as required.

Meals & Nutrition
• Plan and prepare nutritious, balanced home-cooked meals for the children.
• Organise weekly meal planning.
• Manage food shopping for the children's day-to-day requirements.
• Monitor household supplies and proactively replenish essentials (milk, bread, cereal, nappies, etc.).

Nursery Duties
• Keep the children's bedrooms, bathroom and play areas clean, tidy and organised.
• Carry out children's laundry, ironing and bedding changes.
• Clean and maintain children's equipment (highchairs, buggies, car seats, play mats).
• Leave shared family areas clean and tidy after activities and meals.

Health & Hygiene
• Promote and model good hygiene habits, including regular handwashing.
• Accompany children to medical, dental or healthcare appointments when requested.
Communication
• Provide parents with daily updates on routines, activities, development and any concerns.
• Flag clothing, toys or equipment needing replacement, and assist with sourcing when requested.
Household Responsibilities
• Ensure the home is secure when leaving (locking doors/windows, setting the alarm where applicable).
• Undertake reasonable shopping related to the children's needs.
• Provide babysitting by prior agreement.
Light Housekeeping
• Keep general living areas tidy throughout the day (a separate cleaner handles deep cleaning of the home).
• Put bins out on collection day.
• Help with the parents' washing alongside the children's laundry.
• Willingness to travel with the family to support childcare at other locations, when required.
