Job Summary:
This is a lovely long term opportunity for a professional nanny who enjoys building strong relationships with children and creating a happy, nurturing environment. The role is predominantly sole charge, although the mother is very hands-on and involved in the children's lives.

The family employ a Housekeeper Cook who manages the household cleaning, ironing and family meals, allowing the nanny to focus primarily on childcare and supporting the children's routines and development.

The family's young son is active, curious and loves outdoor adventures, imaginative play and spending time in his toy room. There is also an older daughter who is largely independent and requires minimal support.

From September, the family's son will attend school from 9:00am until 3:00pm. During this time, the nanny will be responsible for completing the child's laundry, keeping his bedroom organised and tidy, and tidying the kitchen after breakfast. Once these duties have been completed, there is typically downtime between 10:30am and 1:30pm. From 1:30pm, the nanny can prepare a healthy after school snack ready for the child's return home.

During the first year, mum will mainly carry out the school pick up, allowing the successful candidate to support the family's daily routine whilst remaining available if required.

This is a long term position within a relaxed, family-orientated household.

Job specification:
• Managing the morning routine, including breakfast, dressing and preparing the child for school
• Planning and supervising engaging age-appropriate activities
• Encouraging outdoor play, physical activity and social development
• Organising creative activities, crafts, games, baking and play-based learning
• Preparing breakfast for both children and healthy snacks after school
• Supporting bath time and bedtime routines
• Children's laundry
• Keeping the child's bedroom and play areas organised and tidy
• Tidying the kitchen after breakfast
• Occasional babysitting for both children
• Being on call overnight with a baby monitor should the child require support (shared with mum) – additional payment of £60 per night
• Additional hours during school holidays and term time paid as overtime

• Proven experience caring for children of a similar age
• Energetic, active and hands-on approach to childcare
• Warm, calm, reliable and professional
• Confident supporting children's learning, development and routines
• Able to assist with homework
• Enjoys outdoor activities and engaging play
• Able to work independently and use initiative
• Flexible and adaptable approach
• Spanish-speaking would be highly desirable; however, the family will also consider a fluent English-speaking nanny who holds a recognised childcare qualification or degree
• Comfortable being on call overnight with a baby monitor when required
