Live-in Nanny – Sofia, Bulgaria | €6,000+ Net per Month

A warm, respectful returning client based in Sofia, Bulgaria is seeking an experienced live-in nanny to join their family from 28 September 2026. Great British Nannies placed the family's maternity nanny, who has greatly enjoyed the role and will provide a full handover.

This is an excellent long-term opportunity for a professional nanny to support one baby girl in a sole-charge role focused on her care, wellbeing and development while creating a nurturing English-speaking environment through play and age-appropriate learning.

The current schedule includes afternoon and evening care, one overnight feed, morning care until handover to Mum, and daily free time from approximately 9:00 AM–3:00 PM. The nanny has a private apartment within the family's building to relax during off-duty hours. As the child grows, the routine will naturally evolve.

The family is looking for a calm, experienced nanny with excellent infant experience. A childcare qualification and knowledge of Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Gentle Parenting, EYFS or other child-led approaches would be advantageous. Previous experience with international or bilingual families is also welcomed.

The family travels frequently, sometimes at short notice, so flexibility and a genuine enjoyment of travel are essential. EU candidates are preferred, although visa sponsorship is available for exceptional UK applicants.

Requirements

Fluent English speaker
Minimum 3 years' professional experience with children aged 0–3 years
Childcare qualification preferred
Excellent recent references from private families
Valid passport and clean police/DBS check
Willing to relocate to Bulgaria
Flexible and available for international travel

Responsibilities

Provide all daily care, including feeding, hygiene, routines and developmental activities
Foster an engaging English-speaking environment
Support the child's physical, emotional, social and cognitive development
Work closely with the parents while maintaining established routines
Travel with the family when required
