Temporary Nanny / Mother's Help / Nanny Housekeeper – Near Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire

Role Summary

Duration: 2–3 months (with possible extension)
Days: Thursday, Friday & Saturday
Hours: 12:00pm–8:00pm
Pay: £18–£20 gross per hour (depending on experience)
Driver: Essential
Accommodation: Private bedroom available on working nights if required

Happy Nest Nanny & Maternity Agency is seeking a warm, experienced and practical nanny/mother's help to support a lovely family with a toddler and newborn baby. Mum will be at home, so this is a shared-care role requiring someone who is happy to work alongside her while also providing household support.

This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys helping wherever needed, moving naturally between childcare and household tasks with a positive, flexible attitude.

Key Responsibilities

Support Mum with the care of a newborn and toddler
Assist with children's routines, play, meals and daily care
Children's and family laundry and ironing
Prepare simple family meals
Light housekeeping and maintaining an organised home
Food shopping, online orders and errands
Help keep the household running smoothly

Experienced with babies and toddlers
Calm, kind, practical and reliable
Happy working alongside Mum as part of a team
Flexible, proactive and willing to "muck in"
Confident balancing childcare with housekeeping duties
Experienced in supporting the day-to-day running of a family home
A careful driver
Respectful of working within a family environment

Essential Requirements

Strong childcare experience, particularly with babies and young children
Previous housekeeping/family support experience
Enhanced DBS (Update Service preferred)
Paediatric First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain before starting)
Checkable references
Legal right to work in the UK

A private bedroom is available for the nights worked, making the role suitable for someone travelling from further afield.

Please note that a nut allergy is present in the household, so care must be taken with food preparation and shopping.
