A private family based in Chelsea, London is seeking an experienced and confident English-speaking Maternity Nanny to support their 4-month-old son on a temporary basis for 4–6 months, commencing ASAP.
As an experienced Maternity Nanny, you will have a minimum of 5 years' experience caring for infants and supporting mothers during the early developmental stages. You will be confident in your approach and abilities whilst recognising when to step back, remaining adaptable to the mother's preferences, parenting style, and wishes regarding routines and childcare.
The ideal candidate will be kind, flexible, and a true team player, someone who enjoys working within a fully staffed household and can provide excellent recent and contactable references. Confidentiality, discretion, respect, and strong communication skills are essential for this role.
As the Maternity Nanny, you will be responsible for meeting all the daily needs of the family's 4-month-old son. Duties will include establishing and maintaining age-appropriate routines, bottle feeding and supporting the introduction of developmental milestones, bathing, dressing, maintaining excellent hygiene standards, supporting healthy sleep habits, sterilising bottles and feeding equipment, keeping the nursery clean and organised, managing the baby's laundry, monitoring developmental progress, and providing daily updates to the parents when required.
You will primarily be supporting a hands-on mother and working collaboratively with the household team. The family also have two older daughters who have her own governess; therefore your focus will remain solely on the baby.
The schedule will be 24/5 (M-F) with a guaranteed minimum 6 consecutive hour rest period each day, alongside additional support from the household staff. The nanny will be required to sleep in the baby's room when on duty; however, suitable private accommodation will be provided during rest periods.
A candidate who is comfortable and flexible with frequent travel is highly preferred, as the role will include accompanying the family on trips both within the UK and internationally. This is a supportive and respectful household where staff work collaboratively to ensure smooth operations and adequate rest. Package:
• Salary: £400+ gross per day D.O.E
• Working schedule: 5 days per week, 24 hours per day (minimum 6-hour rest period daily)

Requirements:
• Qualified and experienced English-speaking Maternity Nanny/Newborn Care Specialist
• Minimum 5 years' experience working with babies and young infants
• Caring, organised, flexible, and professional
• Comfortable supporting a hands-on mother
• Confident establishing routines and supporting infant development
• Comfortable with regular travel and able to travel at short notice
• Experienced travelling with babies and organising all baby-related essentials for travel
• Valid passport with unrestricted travel ability preferred
• Clear enhanced DBS check
• Paediatric First Aid certificate (within the last 12 months preferred)
• Excellent and contactable references (minimum of 3)
