This family are expecting their second child in Septemeber and are looking for daytime, temporary postnatal support to help keep the household running smoothly. The role is best framed as a daytime maternity nurse / newborn-experienced nanny who can also support with a toddler and light household tasks as needed.

- Driving not essential (town is walkable), but may be helpful for the candidate’s own commute

Start date & duration
- Preferred start: week commencing 28 September 2026
- Duration: 2 months initially

Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- Approx. 8:00am–6:00pm (some flexibility)

Children
- Newborn due mid-September (client plans to breastfeed and remain hands-on)
- Toddler, age 2, in nursery 4 days week

Role focus
Primary focus is newborn support in the daytime, while enabling the client to recover physically and manage day-to-day life with a toddler.

Key responsibilities may include:

- Newborn care support (settling, safe sleep, hygiene/sterilising as needed, general baby care guidance)
- Supporting the parent while they remain hands-on
- Toddler support as needed (especially practical help while client cannot lift post C-section)
- e.g., helping with morning routines / getting ready for nursery / supervising toddler emotions and transitions
- Keeping the home running smoothly day-to-day in collaboration with the parent
- Light household support related to the children (tidying play areas, children’s laundry support if needed, prepping simple meals/snacks for toddler)

Candidate profile
- Newborn-experienced and confident with newborn basics
- Relevant newborn qualifications strongly preferred/important to the client
- Not necessarily highly senior; a competent, slightly more junior profile is acceptable if confident and proactive
- Comfortable with both a newborn and a toddler with “big emotions”
- Warm, supportive, and practical; able to anticipate needs without taking over
