The Children
A bright and engaging 5½-year-old girl, currently in Year 1 (CP)
A happy and curious 3-year-old child attending Preschool (Petite Section)
The Role
The family is looking for a dedicated and experienced nanny who will create a rich English-speaking environment while supporting the children's educational, emotional, and social development.
The successful candidate will be warm, proactive, and highly organised, capable of managing the children's routines with confidence and enthusiasm. She will naturally foster good manners, independence, curiosity, and a love of learning while ensuring a structured yet nurturing environment. The role requires a professional who can integrate seamlessly into a well-run household, exercise sound judgement, and maintain excellent communication with the parents. Flexibility, discretion, and emotional intelligence are essential.
Candidate Profile
Native English speaker (essential)
Minimum of seven years' professional childcare experience with children of similar ages
Previous experience within private households, ideally with high-profile families, is highly desirable
Good working knowledge of French (intermediate level or above), particularly to assist with schoolwork when required
Warm, energetic, and engaging personality
Excellent educational awareness and ability to encourage age-appropriate development
Highly organised, reliable, and punctual
Discreet and respectful of the family's privacy and confidentiality
Flexible, adaptable, and solution-oriented
Strong common sense and ability to work independently
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working Schedule
The position will commence on 31 August.
During the 36 school weeks, the schedule will be as follows:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Time allocated before school pick-up to prepare the children's meals and organise the evening routine
School collection at approximately 4:15 p.m.
Bath time at 6:00 p.m./ Dinner at 6:30 p.m./ Bedtime routine from 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday - Full working day from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
In addition, the nanny will undertake two evening babysitting sessions per week, each of approximately three hours, according to the family's needs. Whenever possible, babysitting requirements will be communicated with a minimum one week notice. Contractual finishing time will not exceed 11:00 p.m. The average working schedule represents approximately 37 hours per week.
Travel
The nanny will accompany the family on selected holidays and trips throughout the year, representing approximately six weeks annually.
During travel periods, working days may extend to up to 11 hours per day, depending on the family's programme. All travel is organised well in advance and forms an integral part of the role.
