Location: Los Angeles, USA, with 2–3 months in London each summer
Salary: £70,000 gross per annum (paid in GBP under a UK contract)
Accommodation: Private accommodation provided
Hours: Monday to Friday, up to 60 hours per week (typically between 7:30am–7:30pm depending on the family’s schedule)
Driver: Essential – car provided
Travel: Regular international travel (approximately 4–6 trips per year)
The Family
A warm, creative and high-profile family are seeking an exceptional live-in nanny to join their household and care for their three children:
• Girl, 8 years
• Boy, 5 years
• Girl, 2 years
The family currently employ another nanny, so this is a shared-care position. Parents are very hands-on and value working in partnership with their childcare team.
They embrace a gentle, child-led approach to parenting and appreciate candidates with knowledge or experience of Montessori, Steiner, Waldorf or other holistic early years philosophies.
The family are based in Los Angeles for most of the year and relocate to London for approximately 2–3 months each summer.
The Role
This is a child-focused position working alongside another nanny and the wider household team. You’ll often care for one or two children at a time, while occasionally taking sole charge of all three.
The successful candidate will provide nurturing, engaging care while supporting each child’s emotional, educational and developmental journey.
Responsibilities include:
• Planning engaging, age-appropriate and child-led activities.
• Encouraging creativity, curiosity and independent learning.
• Supporting the children’s routines while remaining flexible to their individual needs.
• Organising outings, playdates and enriching experiences.
• Preparing fresh, healthy meals and snacks.
• Maintaining children’s bedrooms, play spaces and wardrobes.
• Children’s laundry and other nursery duties.
• Driving the children to school, activities and appointments (car provided).
• Working collaboratively with parents, the second nanny and household staff.
• Travelling with the family throughout the year.
Travel Responsibilities
The nanny will be responsible for ensuring the children are fully prepared for travel, including:
• Organising and packing clothing, toys, books and educational materials.
• Preparing travel essentials appropriate for each destination.
• Helping maintain routines whilst travelling internationally.

Essential Requirements
• Minimum of 7 years’ professional nanny experience.
• Excellent, checkable references.
• Previous experience working within private households.
• Full driving licence and confidence driving in the USA.
• Valid DBS certificate.
• Current Paediatric First Aid qualification.
• Happy to relocate to Los Angeles and spend 2–3 months each summer in London.
• Flexible to provide occasional overnight care when required.
Desirable Qualifications
• Degree or qualification in Early Childhood Education.
• Montessori, Steiner, Waldorf or similar holistic childcare training.
• Additional childcare or child development qualifications.
